Joy Emerson is the Administrative Assistant at Jerome Paun Law. Joy is a retired Windham elementary school teacher. She has lived and worked in Eastern Connecticut for most of her adult life. Joy earned her bachelor’s degree at Lesley University in Massachusetts and her master’s degree in education at the University of Connecticut. After being retired for a bit over a year, Joy was ready to take on a new challenge in a new second career as an administrative assistant in my criminal defense law practice. I am happy to have her.

Joy’s will be the voice you hear answering our phones and the first person you will likely see when you arrive here. Joy will strive to answer your questions and put your mind at ease about your legal trouble. Please feel free to ask her any questions you may have about your case. She will do her best to answer them when you ask but if she can’t, she will consult with me and do whatever research or investigation might be needed to answer your questions as soon as possible. Just as before, we will make every effort to return phone calls or reply to emails within 24-48 hours.

Joy is very organized and has already made significant improvements in helping re-organize and streamline my law practice. Joy brings exceptional organizing skills to our office, enhancing our efficiency providing the same effective criminal defense our clients have come to expect.
